This cup is handmade by artisans using traditional throwing techniques, shaped like a bronze bowl. Using the half-carving method, the sacred lotus of Buddhism is engraved on the body of the cup. It is coated with a celadon glaze, first developed in Jingdezhen during the Northern Song Dynasty, fully expressing the porcelain’s jade-like smoothness.
